About Me

I am a lifelong Pennsylvanian, now living in the Philadelphia suburbs.  I grew up in State College, should have gone to Penn State, but went to college in Hawaii - how's that for extremes? I am blessed with the most supportive family and friends anyone could hope to have! Volunteering is a passion and my hobbies include walking (with my precious little dog), reading, a little international travel, and puttering around the house with DIY projects.  

I am now going to add writer to my role call.  

On the work front, I'm proud of 28 years at Verizon Communications (that's what it was called when I left).  In the fall of 2007, after the devastating blow of being downsized from Verizon and thinking my life was over, I researched a micro-business training program called AssistU and started my own Virtual Assistance business.  Vanguard came calling in 2010.  I enjoyed 11 years there and retired in January 2022.  43 years in the business world - how can that be when I'm only 40 years old :)
